SONG AND SYNERGY
Luci’s violin is a garage sale find. It looked like a bit of kindling waiting for the fire lying on the concrete driveway. Mind if I take this home? I’d like to string it put in a sounding post. I think there might be a sweet violin inside this little waif. After parting with third-five dollars (marked down from seventy), she took it to a luthier (a violin maker). A week later she heard, You can pick up your violin. I’ve glued it back together, fixed the pegs and corrected a few other issues. You should get it appraised. It has an amazing sound. Turned out Luci’s violin was once part of the Atlanta Symphony, played by the grandfather of our garage sale neighbors. A hundred year old, handcrafted German violin in need of a home. If you’re familiar with “The Touch of the Master’s Hand” (and you should be) you know exactly how this played out. Luci and her violin are a match made in heaven.
If life isn’t musical we’re doing something wrong. Music is the love language of the heart, it heals, laughs, dances, and worships. Luci crafts concerts, programs and experiences designed to bring the generations together (she also plays for special events).
